IADR Simplifies CE Credit Tracking and CME Certificate Delivery with the EventPilot Conference App

The Challenge:
With more than 4,200 professionals in attendance, the International Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (IADR) General Session & Exhibition represents one of the largest global gatherings in dental, oral, and craniofacial research. The 2025 meeting featured a large and complex scientific program, including nearly 4,000 sessions/presentations imported directly from ScholarOne, over 2,400 poster PDFs uploaded via the speaker portal, and 3,000 offline scientific abstracts. IADR needed a reliable and scalable CE/CME credit claiming and credit certificate management system that would not only handle the program complexity but also enable secure, mobile-first access to certificates while ensuring only eligible attendees could participate.
The Solution:
IADR implemented the EventPilot® conference app with a fully integrated continuing education (CE) and CME credit tracking solution and automated certificate delivery system purpose-built for medical and scientific conferences. With native support for mobile and desktop access, EventPilot enabled IADR to offer a streamlined, in-app CE credit claiming experience – without relying on third-party portals or manual processes.
Through Nimble SSO integration, user credentials and registration types flowed directly into the EventPilot platform, allowing IADR to define and enforce access rules: only eligible participants could use the credit claiming functionality. Over 300 credit sessions were easily identifiable for attendees across the mobile conference app and desktop planner. Exhibitors were excluded, and strict controls were applied, including a 39.5-credit maximum, session evaluation requirements, and logic to support concurrent or partial credit scenarios.
With IADR’s custom-branded PDF certificate and full reporting capabilities, providing credit certificates turned into a simple, fast, and fully mobile-optimized process. Attendees were able to instantly generate and download their CE certificates as well as certificates of attendance and speaker certificates – all directly within the app or online planner.
With EventPilot, IADR transformed a complex credit claiming workflow into a seamless attendee experience. The system improved satisfaction, reduced support requests, and ensured compliance with CE tracking requirements for dental and medical meetings.
The Results:
Seamless Medical Credit Claiming:
- Over 1,400 total certificates downloaded with zero support tickets.
- Over 200 attendees claimed CE credit, generating nearly 2,700 total credit hours.
- Over 650 users downloaded a certificate of attendance.
- Over 650 speakers accessed and downloaded their speaker certificates.
Optimized Mobile Experience:
- 80% of attendees used the native mobile apps.
- All credit claiming was completed directly in the app or desktop planner – no external tools or vendors required.
Granular Access Control:
- SSO and registration type mapping ensured only eligible users could see and access credit claiming features.
- Automatically enforced max credit limit plus automatic prevention of claiming overlapping or concurrent sessions
“EventPilot’s CE credit claiming feature is the best we’ve seen in an event app – it completely streamlined our process and turned what used to be a complex process into an incredibly simple in-app experience. We were able to customize the credit limits, control eligibility by registration type, and offer in-app certificate delivery. Attendees loved how fast and easy it was to claim credit directly within each session detail view. They could even download or email the certificate from the app. Plus, we have all the survey results and reports we need on our side. EventPilot offers a seamless, intuitive, and a top-notch experience from start to finish,” said Kourtney R. Skinner, Director, Meetings and Scientific Content, IADR.
By adopting EventPilot’s built-in CE credit claiming system, IADR delivered a polished and fully integrated experience for its global attendees. The success highlights how scientific conferences meetings can streamline credit claiming with custom certificate delivery and ensure compliance with continuing education standards – all while offering a seamless, app-based solution tailored for medical meetings.
